A beautiful and pristine little hidden gem called Castaway Point Park located in Palm Bay, Florida

Castaway Point Park Palm Bay florida

There is, nestled away behind a treasure trove of trees, off of US-1 in Palm Bay, a beautiful and pristine little hidden gem called Castaway Point Park. It is this amazing and tucked away secret, where you can view majestic manatees leisurely swimming throughout the day, and witness dolphins at play a mere several feet away from you, all while being surrounded by the incredibly gorgeous nature Brevard has to offer, that Quality Comfort proudly showcases for you this week.

This small but dazzling city park surprisingly holds the unique distinction of providing one of the select few authentic and natural beaches along the entirety of the Indian River Lagoon. Situated as it is, surrounded on all three sides by water, Castaway Point Park sits on a peninsula located between the Indian River Lagoon and the mouth of Turkey Creek.

This spectacular little riverfront park offers two different piers, from which you can engage in some excellent fishing, as well as pass the time watching porpoises and manatees at play, very often so close you could almost touch them. Paved concrete walkways, beautiful boardwalks, and ample parking make getting around Castaway Point Park a simple and enjoyable endeavor. There is also a picnic pavilion provided, set perfectly in the shade and surrounded by the same alluring nature as the rest of the park. It's an excellent and charming place to spend a morning or an afternoon with friends, family, or loved ones. Also of note, the park provides a launch, perfect for taking a canoe or kayak out into the water, where access to Turkey Creek is right there, should you feel like venturing out of the immediate vicinity. Also located throughout the park, you'll find historic and interesting signs that tell you all about the Native Americans that once inhabited the area as well as stories about the very earliest settlers to call Palm Bay home.

So whether you're looking to picnic with a loved one, kayak the local waters, watch manatees and dolphins swim playfully, learn a little local history, read a book outdoors, or just take a peaceful leisurely stroll through nature, Castaway Point Park is a gorgeous point of interest and one you will be thankful you decided to stop and check out.
